Created to support women in XR, The Femme Futures Grant awards a monthly cash prize to the best XR project currently in development by a female artist. All formats, genres, and categories of immersive projects will be considered including XR films, games, apps, art, entertainment, and more. The only hard requirement is that the lead creator of the winning project must identify as a woman. The Black Realities Creative Grant was created in 2020 as a response to the ongoing social injustice and violence against Black Lives. The grant awards a monthly cash prize to media projects that explore the varied conditions, experiences, feelings, empowerment, resilience, joy, and the full range of humanity within the Black global community. 8. Arts Training Abroad Grants

The Arts Training Abroad grants annually support academic training, theoretical research, or technical training and artistic improvement in the visual arts, performing arts, music, and film. Applications are considered four times a year, during the last week of the months of January, April, July and October.
Grant conditions:
Period of 3 to 12 months, subject to renewal;
Monthly amount of 1.500 euros for Euro Zone countries, defined on a case by case basis for other destinations;
1,000 euros for installation expenses, participation in congresses and seminars;
500 for travel in European countries or defined case by case for other destinations;
5,000 for tuition fees, paid upon presentation of proof;

The Arab Fund for Art and Culture and the Prince Claus Fund, in partnership with the Magnum Foundation launched the Arab Documentary Photography Program (ADPP) in 2014. The ADPP is a program jointly funded by AFAC and Prince Claus Fund (in the framework of the Fund’s Mentorship Awards), targeting creative documentary photographers in the Arab region.

Kai Art Center’s core program, the Kai Residency, invites curators and writers from Nordic and Baltic states to apply for its 2021 residency program.
Applicants should have a professional practice of at least five years. Collectives with a track record of collaboration will also be considered if they are willing to share living space. Applications are open to those residing in the Nordic states (Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Åland) or the Baltic states (Latvia, Lithuania), but it is not necessary for the applicants to have Nordic or Baltic nationality.

Goethe-Institut, Gray Area, Fotomuseum Winterthur, and Artivive are launching an open call for artists, designers, and the general public to submit creative representations on the subject of bias. These should articulate our ongoing concerns with technology’s growing ability to alter people’s visual perception of reality.
Submissions may explore discriminatory, misrepresentational, and biased apparatuses or express thought-provoking ideas on how to deal with the perpetuation of bias by technology. 3 finalists will each receive $1000 as well as the opportunity to present their work to the public internationally via a live online event organized by the Goethe-Institut and the participating project partners.

Start-up & Impact Grants Programme

Movies that Matter is offering grants to human rights film events in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe, especially in countries with limited resources and freedom of press.
The maximum support of a start-up grant is €7,500 per project.
These events can take various forms, such as human rights film festivals, LGBT film festivals and mobile cinema projects. Please note that Movies that Matter does not support film production.
1st time: up to 100% of total project costs
2nd time: up to 75% of total project costs.

Unlimited Micro Awards for Disabled Artists (Online / Remote)

British Council and Unlimited are partnering to support pairings of disabled artists and collectives in the UK with those in selected countries to develop creative connections through small shared online work collaborations. The aim is to ensure that funds continue to flow to artists and artistic global ambition remains high during this time of global pandemic.
Each application must be led by a UK disabled artist or company/collective working with a UK disabled artist and applications can be for up to £2500. This includes up to £1000 for each artist or collective, and up to £500 for administration, translation, and equipment. Access funding is available separately – both to support access to applications and/or access to support the project.
Applications are available in alternative formats, and can be made in alternative formats, including video. Access support is available for those making applications – please see the full brief for further information.

Arts at CERN and Pro Helvetia extend their partnership with the launch of “Connect”
This new programme will promote dialogue between the arts, science and technology for the next four years
“Connect” is a programme of residencies for artists who are keenly interested in a cross-disciplinary approach and strongly motivated by scientific thinking and fundamental science. The new programme offers two residency formats: a three-month residency at CERN for Swiss artists, which will be announced biennially; and a combined residency at CERN and another international location in collaboration with prestigious scientific and cultural organisations in Chile, South Africa, Brazil and India, which will happen annually.
For the next four years, this partnership will be taken to the next level as part of Pro Helvetia’s “Arts, Science and Technology” focus to support artistic exploration across different fields. Together, Arts at CERN and Pro Helvetia are launching “Connect”, a new collaboration framework that will serve as a platform for interaction and dialogue between artistic and scientific communities in different countries.

“Call for applications : 2021 Odyssée artist-in-residency programme/

With the support of the French Ministry of culture, the ACCR has been coordinating the Odyssée artist-in-residency program. The program is aiming at artists, researchers and culture professionals from countries other than France wanting to develop projects within French Cultural Centers – Historic Monuments
The Odyssée artist-in-residency program allows residents whose projects have been selected by a ACCR (Centre Culturel de Rencontre), member of the French network, to receive 1200€ per month and the refunding of their travel fees (up to a determined level depending on the distance from their country to the CCR). Residents are staying free of charge, within the Centre that has accepted them. Some Centers offers restauration on the spot, others reimburse restauration fees within a certain limit). Whenever possible, the Centre puts at their disposal material necessary for their residency project. The period of residency can vary between 1 and 6 months.
More than 700 artists from over 79 different countries have taken part in the program, developing projects in different areas such as music, architecture, arts and crafts, visual arts, dramatic writing, novel writing, scriptwriting, animated film-making, photography and journalism.
