Artists from Basel, Freiburg and Strasbourg can apply to participate in the exchange. Travel expenses and accommodation costs are covered for participants coming from outside Basel. LABORMANIFEST – organized by the free dance scene in Freiburg since 2015 – opens up as a discursive and performative platform, a space for reflection, vision and further development as well as for research and networking.

3. 2021 Art + Technology Lab Call for Artist Proposals
Art projects that engage new forms of technology.

The Art + Technology Lab supports projects that explore artistic applications of emerging technologies and ideas related to technology and culture. The program offers artists and artist collectives financial and in-kind support for new projects, with the help of expert partners from the fields of science, technology, and engineering.

5.Singapore Art Museum

9. The Carmen Mateu Young Artist European Award
OPERA COMPOSERS CALL
Deadline: 28 February 2021(The prize – 30,000 euros)

The Carmen Mateu Young Artist European Award, Opera and Dance, convened by the Castell de Peralada Private Foundation, was created in memory of Carmen Mateu, and celebrates the careers of young artists in the disciplines of Opera and Dance. It also contributes to the development of their careers and promotes both disciplines in the European sphere. A prize is awarded in one of the two categories – opera and dance – in alternate years. In 2021, the Award is open to Composers working in Opera.
The Opera will premiere at the 2023 edition of the Festival Castell de Peralada in Spain, and, post-programming, at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and the Teatro Real in Madrid, as co-producers of the work.

16 .Belfast Photo Festival

Belfast Photo Festival is offering artists/photographers the opportunity to exhibit their work in the main Festival gallery alongside some of the biggest names in the field of photography and have their work taken on tour to be exhibited at the 2022 Photo Schwiez (Zurich, Switzerland),
The theme has been left open to remove any restrictions; submissions must be photographic or lens-based but can include incorporations of other art forms with the photographic medium (i.e. performance, painting, sculpture, music, literature etc).
The winners will be eligible for a number of awards, including a cash prize of £2,000 (e.s.t $2,674 / €2,208).

22. Pina Bausch Foundation
Online Fellowship for Virtual Cooperation in Dance
Deadline: March 15, 2021

The ongoing restrictions on face-to-face meetings and international travel pose challenges for the Pina Bausch Fellowship, as it particularly focuses on international exchange and direct contact between grant holders and their cooperation partners. Therefore, the Kunststiftung NRW and the Pina Bausch Foundation have decided to announce a digital fellowship for 2021.
Interested applicants can apply with virtual cooperation formats from 15th of February until 15th of March 2021.
Applications based on physical encounters cannot be considered this year, as it is not possible to anticipate the development of the different international restrictions.
The adapted format gives grant holders the opportunity to test how exchange and artistic development can be realized in the digital space.

XR Competition
Since 2020, the XR Competition (official competition) has been open to all XR contents, in order to always be at the forefront of immersive creation. 25. ACC Taiwan Virtual Exchange Program 2021
Online Fellowship for Virtual Cooperation in Dance

ACC Taiwan is sponsoring a special virtual exchange program and engagement in the arts between Taiwan and Asia, and between Taiwan and the United States.
The ACC Taiwan Virtual Exchange Program 2021 is a limited initiative serving projects taking place between June 1st, 2021-June 1st, 2022.
In the virtual program, priority is given to process-driven activities that include but not limited to online research, online training, online study, and online exploration.
ACC fellowships and grants are not intended for production-focused activities such as touring, performing, exhibiting, publishing, or making work.

The XR Safety Grant is created to encourage AR and VR artists and stakeholders to create media projects that inspire and promote safety awareness around privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, our physical beings, our emotional and psychological state as we universally adopt these advanced technologies.
The grant primarily focuses on Child Safety, Medical XR, Diversity and Inclusion, Ethics, Accessibility, Trust, Privacy, and all other aspects of Safety in XR. 26. The Nomadic Island project

The Nomadic Island project is an artist residency project that goes beyond a usual creative residency since it merges with the experience of living in an international community that takes place at the same time. It is an experimentation platform involving an heterogeneous group of artists on one side, and an equally heterogeneous group of local residents on the other side. During a lapse of time of three weeks, the international community-based settlement is intended to create a space to let synergies arise around the theme of alternative ways of living and working.
