Started from 12 December 2020 , till 31 January 2021, the Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival welcomes proposals from across disciplines, including but not limited to visual artworks, poetry and writing, workshops, performances, video and film, community interventions and talks or lectures that investigate the question: What is Identity?

Social Impact Grant
Deadline is January 30 ,2021

Kaleidoscope Open Submissions for projects that document, raise awareness, and/or educate their chosen audience on a topic
The Social Impact Grant awards a quarterly cash prize for DOCUMENTARY, NON-FICTION, AND HYBRID PROJECTS WITH AN IMPACT STRATEGY PROJECTS .
Funding and other resources awarded to these projects is intended to give local creators the support to best capture, represent, and share injustices in a critical moment so that they become documents of public record.
All formats, genres, and categories of documentary projects will be considered including films, video series, interactive apps, 360 VR docs, podcasts, photojournalism, and more.

Grants for Media Art

Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art will award three Grants for Media Art of the Foundation of Lower Saxony (€12,500 each).
The Foundation of Lower Saxony grant at the Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art supports a wide spectrum of media art, from video art and net-based projects to audio works and audio-visual installations.
The grant is valid for a duration of six months (July–December 2021).

6.Open Call for Animations
Bagri Foundation
Deadline 15 February 2021

Bagri Foundation is looking to commission three new animations by artists from Asia and the Diaspora (including Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East), inspired by the I Ching, or the Book of Changes.
The selected artists will receive an honorarium of £3000 each (inclusive of taxes and expenses) for the preparation and delivery of the digital contribution.

7. 2021 Art + Technology Lab Call for Artist Proposals
Art projects that engage new forms of technology.

The Art + Technology Lab supports projects that explore artistic applications of emerging technologies and ideas related to technology and culture. The program offers artists and artist collectives financial and in-kind support for new projects, with the help of expert partners from the fields of science, technology, and engineering.

9.Singapore Art Museum

SAM Residencies is now accepting applications for the 2021 cycle for three residencies

  • Artist Residency;
  • Community & Education Residency
  • Curatorial & Research Residency.
    Selected residents will be hosted in Singapore between July 2021 and March 2023, for a period of between one and six months.

XR Safety Grant/ $2,500

The XR Safety Grant is created to encourage AR and VR artists and stakeholders to create media projects that inspire and promote safety awareness around privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, our physical beings, our emotional and psychological state as we universally adopt these advanced technologies.
The grant primarily focuses on Child Safety, Medical XR, Diversity and Inclusion, Ethics, Accessibility, Trust, Privacy, and all other aspects of Safety in XR. All formats, genres, and categories of safety will be considered including: video art, visual art, films, games, apps, architecture, storytelling, VR/AR projects and more.

Siobhan Davies Studios’ Percolate Programme offers flexible support to artists working with dance and choreography across disciplines, formats and contexts.
4 awards of £1000 for activity accompanied by some kind of public engagement as part of our programe.

12.Belfast Photo Festival

Belfast Photo Festival is offering artists/photographers the opportunity to exhibit their work in the main Festival gallery alongside some of the biggest names in the field of photography and have their work taken on tour to be exhibited at the 2022 Photo Schwiez (Zurich, Switzerland),
The theme has been left open to remove any restrictions; submissions must be photographic or lens-based but can include incorporations of other art forms with the photographic medium (i.e. performance, painting, sculpture, music, literature etc).
The winners will be eligible for a number of awards, including a cash prize of £2,000 (e.s.t $2,674 / €2,208).

2021 XR Financing Market
The XR Financing Market is a unique funding and co-production market, entirely dedicated to original immersive content. It brings together artists, producers and key industry figures sharing a common purpose: to create a meeting space where future immersive art masterpieces can be discovered, pitched and financed. XR Competition
Since 2020, the XR Competition (official competition) has been open to all XR contents, in order to always be at the forefront of immersive creation. Selected works (between 10 and 20) will be exhibited from June 9th to 13th, 2021 in Paris, at the Forum des images and/or in other venues of the festival, as well as on the virtual platform of NewImages Festival.Selected works will be judged by an international jury. The following prizes will be awarded:
● the “Golden Mask” (Grand Prize) — worth €6,000
● the Special Jury Prize – VR — worth €3,000
● the Special Jury Prize – AR — worth €3,000

Creators, develop your XR project in Kaohsiung with the Taiwan XR Residency, in partnership with the Kaohsiung Film Festival and the French Office in Taipei!
For the third year, the residency program continues to offer you a unique opportunity to meet professionals in the XR field and develop your project abroad.
Eligible projects. In addition, this call for applications is open to all XR projects (VR360, VR interactive, augmented or mixed reality, installation including immersive technologies), providing that it is a French production or co-production.
Eligible applicant: This call for applications is open to any XR Creator, with French nationality, Permanent Residency Certificate or valid work visa in France speaking English and/or Mandarin
