This project has been shortlisted for the FEDORA Digital Prize 2021.
A World Premiere blended experience for the audience combining live performance with virtual reality streaming: the spectator will be able to break through the 4th wall and experience the performance as if they were actors on stage, immersed in a parade around the figure of Toulouse-Lautrec.
Through its new production Toulouse-Lautrec, Kader Belarbi, choreographer and director of the Ballet du Capitole, wishes to take possession of the painter’s work by offering new possibilities of dialogue between painting and dance, between the arts, between the senses, between what is played, what is looked at and what is listened to: Toulouse-Lautrec will offer spectators the possibility to live a new experience combining virtual reality sequences at the heart of a live show. Out of the Ordinary harnesses the creativity and life experience of diverse Irish communities that currently have no connection whatsoever to opera. It uses cutting edge technology as a tool to distil and present their stories. It results in the world’s first ever VR community opera.

Solastagia is a new operatic entity delivered to the audience as a virtual experience based on new technologies. Its interactive virtual installation and sound environments are tied together with an application, a “navigator” that allows interaction with the audience.

Imagine an opera… which you could either recreate, or help in its creation.
Imagine an opera… which you can experience on your own, but you will always feel that others were there as well.

Discover and VOTE for “Totality in Parts, a reenactment” by Kungliga Operan AB

This project has been shortlisted for the FEDORA Digital Prize 2021.
A new, interactive installation inspired by the performance Totality in Parts about the inseparability of the individual from the behaviour of a group in which the visitor is the center of the spatial but intimate installation.
The digital project consists of two parts developed from filmed material of the original stage production;
A large-scale interactive installation
An interactive monolithic installation where visitors can explore different visualizations of Totality in Parts. We will develop a suite of visualizations that are all interpretations of the piece. Through their interaction, visitors influence which visualization they see by their presence and position in relation to the installation, being part of the artistic render. This project has been shortlisted for the FEDORA Digital Prize 2021.
Viviscim is an interactive experience inviting the user to discover the making of an opera performance with multimedia content mapped in a 360° tour.
Viviscim (which stands for VIrtual VIsit SCenic IMmersive) is a multilingual web application inviting users to discover the scenic art through the sets and backstage of opera houses key productions, in an immersive 360° Virtual Reality environment. Designed by digital artists in close collaboration with the opera houses teams, Viviscim is an innovative entertainment and teaching tool for all ages live perfomance audiences, teachers and cultural mediators.
