After days of waiting, finally, the winners of Sundance Festival were announced! And one of the big winner is Sian Heder drama “CODA,” which earned four awards, including the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award, while “Hive” won three awards. The Awards Ceremony was hosted by actor and comedian Patton Oswalt, with jurors presenting 24 prizes for feature filmmaking and seven for Short Films.
This year, the iconic festival was a remote film festival, the advantage being that many could watch the high quality featured movies from the couch. And the generous offer for this year included a total of 72 features, 50 shorts, four Indie Series, and 14 New Frontier virtual reality experiences.

(Director and Screenwriter: Siân Heder, Producers: Philippe Rousselet, Fabrice Gianfermi, Patrick Wachsberger) — As a CODA – Child of Deaf Adults – Ruby is the only hearing person in her deaf family. When the family’s fishing business is threatened, Ruby finds herself torn between pursuing her love of music and her fear of abandoning her parents. Summer Of Soul (…Or, When The Revolution Could Not Be Televised) / U.S.A.
